VIÑA ESMERALDA, THE CLASSIC WHITE OF FAMILIA TORRES, FLORAL AND AROMATIC MAKES IT AN IDEAL PARTNER FOR ASIAN CUISINE

Cardiff, (Wales, United Kingdon), June 8, 2019.- Viña Esmeralda is one of the most well-known and popular brands of  Familia Torres, a classic of the supermarket shelves and one of the favorite wines of Nazaret, my Spanish teacher in Cardiff.  The winery was founded in 1870 by Jaime Torres Vendrell in Catalonia, and since then, it has expanded internationally with vineyards and wineries in several wine regions of Spain, Chile and California.  Moreover, it has achieved significant recognition, such as ‘the most admired wine brand in the world’, ‘Green Company of the Year’ for its environmental commitment and Miguel Torres has been named the ‘most influential Spanish viticulturist’.

Viña Esmeralda is a young White wine with D.O. Catalunya.  It is made with a blend of Muscat of Alexandria and Gewürztraminer which, together with the amalgam of limestone soil, the Mediterranean coastal breeze and the component varietals, make it aromatic and floral with tropical notes.

In appearance,Viña Esmeralda is a pale, straw-coloured wine and on the nose, it is delicate but at the same time highly fragrant with unmistakable floral aromas of orange blossom, rose and jasmine as well as notes of ripe apple and pear.  On the palate, this silky wine has flavours of lychee, apple, pear, honey, hints of vanilla and a long, scented finish.  Viña Esmeralda would be a perfect match for seafood or as an aperitif, and an ideal accompaniment to oriental cuisine.
